"Weather Bubbles" is an iPad app that introduces kids to the concepts of weather and seasons by way of simply popping bubbles. There are educational resources included with the app to help parents and educators guide children through the concepts while having fun. Toddlers will enjoy simply popping bubbles and older children will pick up on how the different weather elements affect the bubbles.
This free app includes two activities:
WEATHER TYPES - Select between a number of types of weather to see how they interact with the bubbles, all while keeping track of how many bubbles you have popped (for bragging rights, of course).
SEASONS - Travel through the seasons popping bubbles, and watch how the weather changes with the seasons. The bubble counter keeps track of your progress.

Make sure to view the Educational Guide that accompanies the app for tips, resources, and simplified explanations of the four physical conditions of weather, how weather types affect the bubbles, and a brief introduction to climate, seasons, ecosystems, and biomes.
THE STORY BEHIND THIS APP
The app was originally called “Bubbles for Dylan” and made for my 1.5 year old son who was fascinated with popping bubbles and was also learning words like “sun”, “moon”, “cloud”, “rain” and “wind”. We hope you enjoy it as much as he does.
